To define the context (preceding and following letters) in which written letters appear, the following symbols are used in these documents:

B Beginning of word

F End of word

V Vowel

C Any consonant or consonant cluster

NMNH One of the consonants written n, m, or nh

LSN One of the consonants written l, s or n

[CP] One of the consonants written c or p

[CÇT] One of the consonants written c, ç or t

EI Any front vowel

AOU Any back vowel

Lower case letter That letter itself
