This is a self-contained demo file, with HTML and CSS, that belongs to my article From sticky links to button hovering.
This is what I had on my site between 27 March and 23 July 2023. The
text block had position: static, which is the default,
so leaving it out has the same effect. The block with the navigation
hyperlinks had position: sticky, sticking to the bottom.
The whole of it was no longer places against the left edge of the screen,
like was the case in Demo 01,
but centred, by specifying a width and margin:
auto.
Here we need some extra text, like a Latin Lorem ipsum, but in English for easier tests of readability. It is a filler so the ‘article’ contains more text than fits on a screen, and scrolling is necessary.
